Check out this chat with Calvin Johnson on ESPN.com. I love how he says Miami and VT are the challenges he expects this year, totally ignoring the season opener against Notre Dame. I don't know if that's cocky or dumb. He plays Madden. He likes the Steelers; Jac will be pleased. What a stud.

He doesn't say that those teams are the challenges this year, just the games he "has his eye's on" and then explains that it's because they're new to the conference. I'm sure he's plenty worried about Notre Dame ;)
yay for Steelers

Well, for Calvin Johnson himself, Notre Dame is not really the challenge. Notre Dame's weakness is their defence, so no challenge for him. I'd rather try to outrun Notre Dame's DBs anyday over Miami's or Va Tech's.

A very good point. I think a big Tech strength for the Notre Dame game will be ND's weak secondary. If Reggie brings his game and gets the ball to Calvin, GT could actually post a threat to the Irish.
